About

Life is a bore. Most of us go through life as if life’s a job or a chore that has to be completed to go on to the next phase. There are millions of people in this world who live a dreary and monotonous existence only for the purpose of making money and spending the hard earned money on things that purportedly lift our sense of well being and make our lives more interesting. We seem to be isolated from the things that are happening all around us, which, if noticed and enjoyed, can make our lives much, much, happier, without spending a penny.

Every now and then, life creates unexpected and comical situations for us, making our lives amusing. Day to day trivial things that you wouldn’t care to glance a second time and reflect upon for a second could, actually, change the way we look at things, and perhaps, even lift our sagging spirits, even if it only for some miniscule seconds. If only we cared to notice these things, if only we opened our eyes, our ears and our minds to all those inconsequential happenings all around us, which can change our outlooks and make us forget the pain, we can make our lives so out of the ordinary and more meaningful.

The purpose of life is not to make money; it is about happiness and fulfillment. Laughter is one thing that can lead to both. There is no need to spend your hard earned money on small pleasures that give you momentary pleasures and doesn’t make any difference to the way you think or thought about your life. You don’t need to travel far and wide to seek happiness or seek a spiritual guru who will impose on you his or her warped view on enlightenment and also tell you to look deep inside yourself and find your soul (whatever that means!). Very confusing methodologies for a person who is already confused and is looking for realistic ways to make life, more lively, more sparkling, more spontaneous.

Did you know that this life is filled with so much laughter, fun, and gaiety, which can make our miserable lives, a happiness filled life? Little things are happening to people around you and to you, yourself, that lighten up your day as well as that of others. How many times have you seen your friends and peers end up in comical situations, which if you had the guts to enjoy without remorse, guilt or hypocritical dignity, would have made that moment or day so memorable? How many times have you found yourself in embarrassingly funny situations that you couldn’t enjoy because you couldn’t leave your ego and false pride behind? How many times do we all are truly “Licked in” and don’t want to admit to ourselves because we are not able to have a good laugh at ourselves? If only we had the capacity to admit that we’ve been well and truly, licked, then, this world and our very lives can change from boring to funny and happy.

So, leave your ego, worthless pride, and fears behind and admit here your “licked” tales or post here, incidents that you feel that the people you know have been truly licked. Don’t be ashamed, break free and tell us those incidents that have made your moments happier and better. Liberate yourself and admit that you’ve been licked…..like I was licked in the shopping mall, a few months ago….
